Chocolate Mint Purim Challah
Ingredients
1 cup warm water1 ½ tablespoons yeast
4 cups flour
1 / 2 cup sugar
1 / 2 cup cocoa powder
1 / 2 cup margarine or butter
3 eggs
12 oz. Mint ChocolateChips
Directions
1. Bloom your yeast in warm water. Then pour into a bowl.2. Stir in 2 cups of flour and ¼ cup sugar to the yeast. Let the mixture rise for about an hour.
3. In another bowl, remaining flour, salt, sugar and cocoa mix together. Then cut into your room temperature margarine. Combine until mixture is mealy.
4. When the yeast mixture has an hour set, you can stir in 2 beaten eggs, mint chocolate chips, and theother flour mixture. Mix until a dough forms. Then knead until the dough becomes elastic. Set spray with cooking spray, cover with a towel or cloth and cheese in a warm room, so they go for about an hour.
5. Punch down dough and let it rise for an hour. Repeat.
